Competitive Hip Hop Auditions
July 20th– August 24th, 2011
Are you interested in auditioning for a hip hop competition line? Here is some information to help you decide if competition dance is right for you.
Competition hip hop dancers must be at an intermediate to advanced level. They should have good technique in hip hop and great stage presence. They should feel comfortable performing on stage in front of large audiences. They must also display good behavior and focus in class.
The competitive hip hop groups will have class starting in September on Wednesday nights (specific times TBD).
The monthly tuition payment will be $70 and will also include costs for their costume and competition fees (competition shoes, make up and accessories are a separate fee). The hip hop lines will compete at three competitions in the spring that are held locally in Minneapolis or St. Paul. They may also have the opportunity to attend a national competition next summer which will be in or near the Twin Cities (other possible locations include Wisconsin Dells and Chicago).
Dancers ages 9 and older who would like to audition must take the following classes from July 20th– August 24th. These classes/auditions are for dancers who are currently in a hip hop line and also those that who are not currently in a hip hop line. If you have a conflict with any or all of these dates please contact the studio.
Wednesdays – July 20th- August 24th
5:15 – 6:15 p.m. Ages 9 - 10
6:15 – 7:15 p.m. Ages 11 – 12
7:15 – 8:15 p.m. Ages 13 and older
Audition fee/Class tuition -- $60
