Thank you!  As we enter into 2009, all of us at Woodbury Dance Center would like to thank you for sharing your children with us!  We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work with so many awesome kids and we appreciate the opportunity to see them each week.

For those of you who made a donation to our TOYS FOR TOTS drive, your thoughtfulness is much appreciated!   Thanks to you, we delivered a large van full of toys to the Toys for Tots warehouse.  Thank you for helping us make our annual toy drive a huge success!! 

The teachers would like to thank you for all the cards, goodies and gifts given over the holidays.  They are much appreciated.

Recital News!!

We apprecitate your patience for the delay in getting out recital information this year .  We have been dealing with date and venue issues for this years show for the past few months.  

This years recitals will be held at the O'Shaughnessy Auditorium at St. Catherine's College in the Highland Park area of St. Paul.  After having our recital at area high schools for many years, this year scheduling became a real issue.  All area high schools were only able to offer dates after school was out in mid to late June or on weekends that would not work for most families (ie. Mothers Day or Memorial weekend)  Although St. Cate's is a little further (about a half hour drive), we are excited to have our shows at this state of the art auditorium. 

The dates of the recitals are June 3rd-10th, with dress rehearsals starting June 1st.   Exact dates and times for all classes rehearsals and recitals will be posted in February. 

Class Attendance  Please help us by making sure your dancer is regularly attending their dance classes.  All classes are starting their recital routines.  Good attendance will:                                                       

• Help your dancer be more confident with their dances.
• Keep your dancer up-to-date on new steps and avoid frustration of trying to get caught up on what they missed during their absence.
• Help the teachers keep classes moving ahead with choreography from week to week.
• Help the teachers with formation work in class.

Make-up classes are available.  Please call or check at the front desk for class times.

Calling all Dancing Dads and Moms!!  Are you jealous of the fun your dancer has up on stage each spring??  Have a New Year's Resolution to get moving??   Then it's time to join Adult Dance!  We have both Mom and Dad groups.  Best part?  Tuition is FREE!!  Both groups will be learning a routine to perform in our annual recital.  There may be a fee for costumes.  Please sign up at the front desk.  Classes meet as follows: 

DAD'S Tuesdays 9:05-9:45, starting February 6th, Instructor: Kathy

MOM'S Mondays 8:15-9:00, starting January 26, Instructor: Maria  

New Classes Starting in JANUARY A new session starts the week of January 19th.  Evening classes for 2-5 year olds meet on Wednesday evenings and new morning classes for 2-5 year olds will meet on Thursday mornings.  Mommy and Me will continue on Thursday mornings as well as Adult tap on Monday evenings.  For more information on these eight week session classes, call the studio or pick up registration information at the front desk.  We also have information on our website under studio information.
