Please speak with your instructor if you are interested in auditioning for the Rhinestones. Audition classes are July 19^th – August 2^nd. Dancers who will be in 9^th – 12^th grade in the fall will audition on August 4^th. Tuition for the Rhinestones classes will be approximately $140 per month. This tuition amount also includes costs for their tap, jazz and pom costume, pom pons and competition fees. Separate competition shoes for jazz and pom will most likely need to be purchased separately. 

 

The Rhinestones will compete at three regional competitions in both jazz and pom. These competitions are held in the spring between March and May and are located in St. Paul or Minneapolis. The Rhinestones sometimes have an option to attend a national competition in the summer at a location chosen by the directors. Competition fees and rehearsals for nationals would be a separate charge. This competition is often out of state depending on what locations are offered each year. In the past we have traveled to St. Louis, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Virginia Beach, Boston, Tampa and Chicago. We have had the opportunity to compete in the Twin Cities about every two or three years.

 

The Rhinestones also perform in many of the WDC spring recitals with their jazz, pom and tap routines.

 

Fundraising opportunities are available to those who choose to participate including selling wreaths, working at the Xcel and doing concessions at our recitals. Membership in the Youth Dance Parent Association is required for many of the fundraising opportunities.
