WELCOME TO WDC!
Welcome to Woodbury Dance Center! Whether you are a new or returning student, we are very excited to have you with us this year. We hope that all students enjoyed their summer vacation and we look forward to a fun-filled and exciting dance season.
Our monthly newsletter will be on-line each month to notify parents of upcoming events and studio information. Please continue to go on-line each month to look through the newsletter monthly as it will contain important updates throughout the year. We try to keep everyone informed as much as possible here at WDC, read through our monthly newsletter and you will stay informed!

RECITAL COSTUMES
To ensure costume delivery before recital and pictures in the spring, costumed are ordered in December. Students are measured and try on sample costumes during class in the late fall. Room for growth is taken into consideration, especially with our younger dancers.
Costume Deposit of $30- is due Oct 1st or with your October tuition payment
The costume payment schedule is as follows:

- Costumes costs include all accessories,tights & a copy of your dancer's recital music.
- Costume payments are non-refundable after Dec. 1st.
- Costumes payments must be up to date if you would like a costume ordered for your dancer.
- If you choose not to participate in recital, please notify the front desk or email the studio.
Recital Dates are currently being confirmed and we will get the information out as soon as we have it. Recital will be scheduled at the end of May/beginning of June.
PARKING LOT Please drive carefully when going through the parking lot and watch out for little ones!!
Also, please be aware that trucks need to be able to get through the driveway on the back/north side of the building as well as the street that runs along side the south side of the south parking lot. Please park on the sides closest to our buliding only.
Other tenants in our building need parking for customers during their business hours. Please do not park in the posted parking spots during these hours.
Did you know?
- That we have extra shoes at the front counter to borrow in case you forget your dance bag? Please return them at the end of dance class.
- That we have extra leotards and tights available for our little dancers to borrow in case of an accident? (Just ask at the front desk)
- There is a diaper changing deck in the unisex bathroom? Please use the provided diaper pail.
- There are baby changing supplies at the front desk if you need them?
- There are books and coloring supplies near the front desk to help keep siblings occupied?
- There is a bulletin board to sell and buy used shoes next to boutique door?
- There are new refrigerated snacks for sale near the front desk, including juice boxes, string cheese, yogurts, frappuccino and more?
Waiting Room Etiquette
For the safety and comfort of everyone, we would like to remind you of some guidelines.
- Please throw away trash to help keep the lobby clean!
- Running & rough play is not allowed.
- Please help us keep the noise level down in the lobby by encouraging your children to use 'their inside voices'.
- As cold weather approaches, please use coat hook areas for coats and boots.
Label, label, label!! Please label all of your child's dance shoes and dance wear..
Recital DVDs/Videos and Class Pictures are at the front desk. If you ordered them last spring and have not gotten them please stop by the desk.
Payment Coupon Books for monthly tuition are available for your request. Please request one at the front desk.

HALLOWEEN PARTIES
Students are invited to wear a Halloween costume to their class the week of Monday, Oct 26th through Saturday, Oct 31st. Please make sure that the costume does nto restrict movement so that students can still participate in dance class. We will have Halloween treats too!

COSTUMES WANTED FOR SPECIAL KIDS!!
Do you have gently used recital costumes that you would like to donate to a great cause? Breanna’s Gift is an Arts Endowment program for kids with serious and terminal illness. Our Miss Shelley is the dance teacher for the program. She teaches dance to special kids at the Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Hospital. This summer WDC donated extra costumes that we had on hand for Shelley to give to her students. The kids loved them!! Shelley suggested tha we give our WDC dancers the opportunity to do the same. The costumes will be hand washed before they are passed out, so they cannot have feather trim attached. Donations are tax deductible. If you would like a receipt, ask for one at the desk when you donate your costume(s). If you have any questions, please email the studio. Thanks for your help!
